Study links smoking and colon cancer risk

News 'Celebrating Strong Women' at JCC Healthy Women symposium By Stacey Dresner WOODBRIDGE - For the past six years, the Jewish Community Center of Greater New Haven has offered local women a chance to spend an entire day focusing on their own health and wellness.Over the years, this day- long women's health symposium - "Healthy Women/Healthy Lives" - has touched on a variety of issues that affect women, like heart disease, breast cancer, as well as diet, nutrition, and exercise.This year the theme of the symposium, to be held on Sunday, April 2 from 9:30 a.m.-4:45 p.m., is "Celebration Strong Women."The day will feature several keynote speakers, including well-known radio talk show host Faith Middleton, who will speak on the "Goodness of Ordinary People and Leading a Positive Life."Other speakers will include Dr.

Rosalyn Chosak, a self-described "physician, Jewish mother and grandmother" who will talk in the morning about "Women in their Prime: Sex and Menopause" and Dr.
