Basic Instinct 2... The only point of curiosity is how English police work is just as shoddy as American cops when a leggy blonde is involved. Catch it if: Like Catherine, you're willing to drive off a bridge for the sake of an orgasm. Bottom line: "Basic Instinct 2" is more elaborately plotted than the original, and the result is even worse: horribly over-the-top dialogue, gratuitous nudity and no suspense whatsoever. Stone's physique has resisted sagging, but the film droops immediately. Bonus: Is it us, or is Glass' office housed in some sort of giant vibrator rocket ship? You'll see…though we don't recommend it. mpais@tribune.com - 'Basic Instinct 2' Directed by Michael Caton-Jones; screenplay by Leora Barish and Henry Bean, based on characters created by Joe Eszterhas; cinematography by Gyula Pados; production design by Norman Garwood; music by John Murphy; edited by John Scott and Istvan Kiraly; produced by Mario Kassar, Andrew Vajna and Joel Michaels. FRANKFURT (Reuters) - An alliance of health groups urged World Cup organisers on Friday to ban smoking at the 12 stadiums to be used during the June 9-July 9 tournament. The UICC Global Smokefree Partnership, a grouping including Cancer Research UK and the American Cancer Society, made the plea at a conference in Nuremberg, one of the World Cup's host cities. "Tobacco and sports don't mix," said Professor Gerhard Sybrecht, deputy chairman of the German Lung Foundation. "That should also hold true for Germany, yet images of smoking will be exported into billions of homes and on to countless big screens around the globe." Smoking was banned in stadiums at the 2002 World Cup in South Korea and Japan and will be again in South Africa in 2010. Ger... Hana Biosciences Begins Talotrexin Phase II Clinical Trials ......
