Car-jacked: sports-mad city changes lanes... There was even a ferris wheel and the ubiquitous Sling Shot, a sideshow device that by late afternoon was propelling pairs of inebriated males to a height of 70 metres in one second at which point our thrillseekers would be "thrown 60 metres towards the ground" an objective they would reach just an instant before their lunch. A red lycra trio of Vodafone girls all gooseflesh and legs prowled the golf course fairways, posing with anyone who wanted to be posed with. Across the lake in the exclusive area quarantined for corporate guests, better-heeled grandstand spectators and the formula one family of gladhanders, corporate freeloaders and overdressed Eurotrash, a six-pack of Foster's grid girls offered skiving finance sector workers their annual opportunity to be photographed in the thick of an improbable forrest of cleavage and teeth. Business was brisk. Somewhere in the middle distance came a roar, that reached a whine, then turned into a howl. The cars were on the track. Emisphere Reports Results of Study Comparing its Oral Heparin Formulation to Traditional Injectable Heparin
Results Show that Heparin Delivered Orally Using Emisphere's eligen(R)
Technology is Identical to Heparin Delivered by Injection Based on all

TARRYTOWN, N.Y., March 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Emisphere
Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: EMIS) today announced results of a clinical study designed to compare heparin administered in the Company's proprietary oral formulation to heparin administered by the two standard methods of injection. The purpose of the study was to demonstrate that heparin's molecular configuration when delivered by the oral route using the Emisphere's eligen(R) technology is unaltered as compared to heparin when administered by either the subcutaneous or intravenous routes of administration. The results show that heparin delivered orally utilizing Emisphere's eligen(R) drug delivery technology, is chemically identical to heparin delivered by injection. The study was conducted as a result of discussions with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") regarding potential expedited registration pathways for oral heparin. Previous studies have repeatedly demonstrated that Emisphere's oral heparin formulation can elevate the key parameters of anticoagulation (aptt, anti-Factor ... Hana Biosciences Initiates Talotrexin Phase II Clinical Trials in ...... Secondary objectives are evaluation of safety, overall response rate, time to progression, and progression free survival. Relapsed or refractory NSCLC patients who have failed at least two lines of treatment including standard chemotherapy and/or an epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor are eligible to enroll in the study. Patients who meet all eligibility criteria will receive Talotrexin on a 21-day cycle. Myelosuppresion and mucositis were the dose limiting toxicities of the Phase I portion of the trial that determined the recommended Phase II dose of Talotrexin in this setting. Updated clinical trial data will be presented during the 42nd Annual American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) meeting in Atlanta, June 2-6, 2006.
