Brave cancer victim Keith Stringer organised the event at the Golden Fleece, Berry Brow.

Huddersfield Town striker Andy Booth came along to help on the night, bringing a signed Town shirt and ball for the auction and a Giants rugby ball.

A mystery prize of a chest filled with goodies formed part of the auction, as well.

There were also several raffles on the evening, with prizes given by local businesses.

Last summer a friend of Keith's, Alan Boothroyd, completed a 35-mile run from Berry Brow to Langsett Reservoir and back to help his fundraising efforts.
